The
Firm is staffed by three fully licensed immigration attorneys, with
more than 20 years of combined legal experience.
Michael
I. Sherman
Michael I. Sherman, Esq. holds a Bachelor's Degree with High Distinction in Near Eastern Studies and a Juris Doctor Degree from the Wayne State University School of Law. Prior to commencing the practice of law, Mr. Sherman served as the chief judicial clerk to the Honorable Steven N. Andrews of the Sixth Judicial Circuit Court in Pontiac, Michigan, and as a law clerk for the Office of Legal Affairs at William Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak, Michigan.
Mr. Sherman has been invited to make presentations on immigration law topics to many organizations, including the Human Resources Association of Greater Detroit (2004, 2005) and the Healthcare Recruiters Association of Metropolitan Detroit (2003, 2004). In addition, he was recognized as a “Friend of the Probate Court” by the Oakland County Probate Court staff in 2004. Mr. Sherman's work was featured in an article in the Detroit Free Press on November 9, 2001.
Mr. Sherman was admitted to the State Bar of Michigan in 1993 and to the District of Columbia Bar in 2002. He is a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA), and a member of the United States Coast Guard Auxiliary.
Theodore
S. Sherman
A
partner and founder of the firm, Mr. T. Sherman holds Electrical
Engineering and Law degrees both from the University of Michigan.
Upon graduation from law school, Mr. T. Sherman practiced intellectual
property (patent) law for a number of years, before joining an immigration
law firm in 1996. He currently specializes in immigration, bankruptcy,
consumer protection, intellectual property and family law/estate
planning matters. Mr. T. Sherman is a member of the Michigan Bar
Association, the American Immigration Lawyers Association, and is
registered to practice Patent & Trademark Law before the U.S.
Patent & Trademark Office in Washington D.C.
Gabriella Manolache
Gabriella Manolache, Esq. earned a Bachelor's Degree in International Relations from James Madison College at Michigan State University. While pursuing her undergraduate degree, Ms. Manolache studied abroad in Brussels, Belgium in a program centered around NATO and the European Union.
After college, Ms. Manolache accepted a partial scholarship to Thomas M. Cooley Law School and majored in Litigation. She joined Sherman Law Group shortly after earning her Juris Doctor Degree in May, 2005 and has already obtained numerous PERM labor certification approvals.
Ms. Manolache was admitted to the State Bar of Michigan in 2005 and is a member of the American Bar Association and the American Immigration Lawyers Association. She speaks fluent Hungarian and enjoys reading, traveling, boating and musical theatre. She and her husband, Bogdan, reside in Livingston county.
